the psychology of running

miles today: 2.75
on the iPod: "While My Guitar Gently Weeps" -- The Beatles

Ran Lake Fayetteville this afternoon. Between watering yards for my parents and sister who are at the beach and teaching summer school, morning runs aren't an option right now. But that's cool, I used to run exclusively in the late afternoon. Don't know how I dealt with the heat all those years because it got the best of me really fast today.

College Board posted AP scores today and my students did well, i'm proud of them. Basically they OWNED it. They kicked some AP Psych ass. I don't think the majority of them really care all that much about how they do, but it's important to me and their other teachers. We want the best for them. And we don't want to look like slackers when compared to our colleagues. Just sayin'....

Slated for a 10-miler this Saturday. Mrs. Murie is at the beach and Mrs. Pugh is in Branson with her family, so i'll be running solo again. I'm ready to get my running buddies back in town! Miss 'em.
